Itinerary Ausangate Trek – 4 Days
Día 1: Cusco – Tinki – Upis – Aguas Termales
Early morning departure from Cusco by private vehicle to the town of Tinki. Begin the hike toward Upis (4,400 m) with panoramic views of Mount Ausangate. Upon arrival, enjoy the natural hot springs.
Hiking time: 4–5 hours | Overnight: Upis campsite
Day 2: Upis – Arapa Pass – Pucacocha – Anantapata
After breakfast, we ascend to Arapa Pass (4,850 m) and pass stunning lagoons like Yanaqocha and Pucacocha. Lunch with views of the glaciers, then continue to Anantapata, our second campsite.
Hiking time: 6–7 hours | Overnight: Anantapata campsite
Day 3: Anantapata – Paso Palomani – Huchuy Phinaya
Day 3: Anantapata – Palomani Pass – Huchuy Phinaya
Today we reach the highest point of the trek: Palomani Pass (5,200 m), with unforgettable views of the Ausangate glacier. Then descend into the remote Huchuy Phinaya valley, surrounded by pristine landscapes.
Hiking time: 7–8 hours | Overnight: Huchuy Phinaya campsite
Day 4: Huchuy Phinaya – Pacchanta – Hot Springs – Cusco
Gradual descent to the village of Pacchanta (4,100 m). Enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs before lunch. Return to Cusco by private transport, arriving in the afternoon.
Hiking time: 3–4 hours | Return: Private vehicle to Cusco.
