Itinerary Machu Picchu & Montaña de Colores – 2 Days
Day 1:
Today, enjoy a full-day excursion to Machu Picchu — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 3:45 a.m., and you’ll be transferred by tourist minibus to the Ollantaytambo train station. There, you’ll board the 6:10 a.m. train, embarking on a breathtaking journey through the Urubamba River Valley, surrounded by towering mountains, until you reach Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes).
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, one of our hosts and your professional tour guide will greet you and accompany you on your Machu Picchu tour, the legendary Lost City of the Incas. After passing the checkpoint, you’ll ascend to the Guardian’s House viewpoint, where you can take in the stunning panoramic view of Machu Picchu in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings. Capture memorable photos of this magical place before exploring the most iconic areas of the citadel.
After the guided tour of Machu Picchu, you’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes and enjoy lunch on your own. Later in the day (2:55 p.m., 3:20 p.m., or 6:20 p.m. depending on your ticket), you will board your train back to Ollantaytambo station. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to transfer you by tourist minibus back to your hotel in Cusco.

Today, your Rainbow Mountain tour begins at 4:30 a.m.
Board a tourist vehicle and leave your hotel and the bustling city of Cusco behind as you embark on a scenic 3-hour journey to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). Before reaching the trailhead, enjoy a homemade breakfast in the town of Cusipata.
Continue by bus to the Rainbow Mountain parking area. Around 8:40 a.m., begin a 2-hour uphill hike at a relaxed pace, accompanied by an expert local trekking guide.
From the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint (5,200 meters / 17,060 ft), marvel at and photograph the incredible striped colors formed by natural mineral oxides over millions of years. You’ll also enjoy panoramic views of the majestic Ausangate Mountain (6,385 meters / 20,948 ft), and walk among wild Andean camelids in their natural habitat.
Afterward, descend and board your tourist transport back to Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch made with local Andean ingredients. After a short, refreshing break, return to Cusco by tourist transport. Estimated arrival: 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.
