In the afternoon (1:00 p.m.), we will begin an exciting City Tour of Cusco, perfect for acclimatization and for immersing yourself in the living history of the Imperial City. This guided tour, lasting approximately 6 hours, will take you to the main tourist attractions both inside and outside the historic center:

  • Main Square (Plaza de Armas): The vibrant heart of Cusco, surrounded by impressive colonial buildings built on top of ancient Inca palaces.
  • Cusco Cathedral: A jewel of colonial religious art, featuring baroque altars and valuable paintings from the Cusco School of Art.
  • Temple of the Sun – Qoricancha: Once one of the most sacred sites of the Inca Empire, where you can admire the fascinating blend of Inca and colonial architecture.
  • Sacsayhuamán: An astonishing archaeological complex located on the outskirts of Cusco, known for its massive stone walls fitted with incredible precision.

At the end of the tour, you’ll return to your hotel to relax and get ready for the upcoming adventures to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour – Train to Aguas Calientes

After breakfast at your hotel, begin your epic Sacred Valley Tour with a brief stop at a local textile center run by women of Inca descent. Here, you’ll witness the traditional weaving process using the wool of Andean camelids, and you’ll also meet some of these beautiful South American animals.

Next, visit the archaeological site of Pisac, where you’ll admire its extensive agricultural terraces and stroll through the colorful local market.

At midday, enjoy delicious Peruvian cuisine at one of the top-rated restaurants in Urubamba. Then, continue to the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo to explore its Inca fortress and cobblestone streets.

In the afternoon, at either 4:36 p.m. or 7:04 p.m., board the train from Ollantaytambo station and journey through the dramatic valleys of the Eastern Andes to the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes). Upon arrival, our host will greet you and escort you to your hotel.

Overnight in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town)

Day 3: Visit to Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco

After breakfast, meet your professional local guide and take the shuttle bus (25 minutes) up to Machu Picchu, the Wonder of the World. Upon passing the checkpoint, head to the Guardian’s House, where you’ll enjoy the iconic panoramic view of the Inca citadel and the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it.

Take stunning photos to capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience, then begin your guided tour through the urban sector, admiring the masterful architecture perfectly integrated into the natural mountain contours. Discover the secrets and legacy hidden within this awe-inspiring site.

Day 4: Rainbow Mountain Tour (Vinicunca)

Today, begin your Rainbow Mountain Tour at 4:30 a.m.. A tourist vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco for a 3-hour scenic drive toward the Rainbow Mountain region. Before reaching your final destination, enjoy a homemade breakfast in the small Andean town of Cusipata.
